COVID-19: A challenge that strengthens our commitment to each member of UNO

2020 has brought with it more changes than we would have ever imagined, even within an industry as diverse and innovative as Contact Centers. A virus that has been present in every continent of the planet has been the driving force of an exponential adaptation process in a matter of weeks at all levels, not being the exception for United Nearshore Operations.

The health and well-being of our human force has always been a priority for the company\'s management and has been even more clearly evidenced in these times. Since the beginning of March of the current year, the Emergency and Business Continuity Committee of UNO Call Center has been working hard for the correct prevention of contagion by Coronavirus (COVID-19) while the collaborators continued working from our headquarters. With the measures implemented, it was possible to safeguard the health of everyone by preventing any of our members from being infected with this virus. Since then we?ve kept constant communication with the personnel through different channels so that they can be informed and educated, always following the recommendations from official organizations.

We are proud to share that once again our collaborators gave their all, allowing us to be one of the first Call Centers in the country to achieve a deployment of work from home for more than 90% of all our staff, which is equivalent to about 700 people, even without ever having implemented this. While defining and implementing all the strategies, we found incalculable displays of positivism, commitment and responsibility at all levels of the organization, making an outstanding transition possible, and demonstrated why we identify ourselves as a great family.

However, the changes have not stopped. Our Committee in charge has continued to hold periodic virtual meetings in search of reinforcing our hygiene protocol to continue guaranteeing the safety of each employee when getting back to office. This protocol includes taking body temperature before entering the building, frequent use of hand sanitizer and hand washing, work areas redistribution for proper distance in between, increased cleaning and disinfection rounds, mandatory use of face mask at all times, and doors that will remain open to lessen touching surfaces. In addition, we?re having a  gradual return to office, especially protecting our employees who have a pre-existing health condition.

These are just some of the measures that are already being implemented in United Nearshore Operations and tested to correct any weakness in the process, if any, while continuing to expand our horizons towards new business models that allow us to provide progress and stability opportunities for more families.

It is our commitment to continue providing a safe work environment for each collaborator and it is the best way to thank each one after the countless willingness and excellence demonstrations shown throughout the years and reinforced during these months. We confirm once again that success is guaranteed when we work together.
